The weather was not ideal for Le Belle Marché’s debut February 9 & 10, dumping 14 inches of snow and making travel difficult. However, the drifts hardly phased our heroic vendors and shoppers!

16 tables and market stands lined the gym at the newly christened Historic Roosevelt Events Center. Vendors ranging from bakers to furniture repurposers set up an impressive array of goods, and the crowds soon followed. People were eager to shop at an indoor market of local crafters and also use the opportunity to get a peek of the inside of the old high school, which had been closed for over twenty years.

Traffic was steady both Friday and Saturday, but Saturday drew larger numbers with sunny weather and improved road conditions.

Vendors and patrons came away very pleased with the first market and already making plans to return next month.
