Executive Director, Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce
The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors.
The Executive Director functions as the chief executive and administrative person responsible for the general management and administration of the Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce within the policies, guidelines and direction approved by the Board of Directors (Board). The Executive Director serves as the primary point of contact for the Board, member businesses, elected officials and general public. This is a full-time, exempt position. Longer work hours may include evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Executive Director serves as the primary media spokesperson for the Chamber. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, spearheading membership recruitment and retention, promoting & managing chamber events, public relations, planning, policy creation/management, financial oversight/management and coordinating/overseeing activities of other employees and/or volunteers.
Qualified individuals must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, eager to meet and interact with new people, new businesses. Applicant must also possess a working knowledge of basic office software, working knowledge of account/book-keeping principles, strong organizational and presentation skills, knowledge of municipal, county and state governmental processes. Professional appearance, punctuality and strong initiative / self-motivation are key.
Compensation is commensurate with knowledge, skills, ability and experience.
