Position Objectives:
City of Belle Fourche Rec Center is seeking fitness instructors. All specialties are encouraged to apply; i.e., Aquatics, Line Dancing, Pilates, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Program Coordinator that are appropriate to this job description.
Instruct a variety of group fitness classes (youth, adult, senior)
Participate in health-related programs and events.
Educate participants on proper and safe exercise form.
Assist with participant sign-in, attendance tracking, waivers and promotions as needed.
Maintain equipment organization and safety.
Enforce policies and procedures in group fitness activity areas.
Execute risk management plan.
Attend continuing education workshops.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
Desirable Training and Experience:
One to three months related experience and/or training;
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
